It's a huge place they should be able to, also love it there, they bring out a nice small taste of something on the menu then later a bit of something sweet!

No! The one on 18st. hasn't and probably will not reopen. This one is owned by Emeterio and his daughter Laura runs it most of the time. You should check it out great food and service too.
Your correct Sir!! I agree with you. Nuevo Leon has excellent food and service.
This restaurant is my favorite. I visit plenty of restaurants but to this restaurant I constantly return again and again. The stuff is very welcoming and the cooking they offer is so flavorful. I am always happy to have a decent meal in this restaurant. I recommend this place with pleasure.
I love the place! Everything was fresh. Ordered a T-Bone plate,
As soon that we walked in they made us feel very welcome.
Can never get enough of this place. Super friendly staff and the food is even better!
I went 8n for a go home cooked breakfast. They will not disappoint you. The staff is very attentive and professional. They kept my coffee full at all times. The food was awesome, I specially love the refried beans. They bring some arroz con lech with your meal. I would recommend to my family and friends.
FANTASTIC FOOD, SERVICE & ENTERTAINMENT!!!
The service is good and the food is like food would rain from heaven I would 100% recommend
Great food and the staff is very friendly. They have a Special of the Day sample when you sit down. Really good food and chill atmosphere, definitely recommend going there with a group for a drink too!
Very good, legit Mexican, with really sweet service.Hadn't been to NL for many years, and never to this location. As I recall, the meal I had on the one on 18th (which had since burned down), was good, but not special in any way. In contrast, here they give your table free mini-app to start your meal. We ordered nachos, (which I generally don't like) but theirs were so nicely made, I couldn't resist: instead of the usual mess, NL takes each hole-imade tortilla chip and carefully festoons each one with a dollop of refried beans and crema. They really elevated the dish. I could go on and on, but I promise you each classic dish was really best-of-class. I plan to return soon.
I celebrated my birthday yesterday in this great place. Well it was a delightful evening and the restaurant was unquestionably one of the reasons for this strong evening. The crew helped in a gorgeous way, the food was extremely good and my buddies were extremely pleased. We shall surely come back again for more events. Thank you very much.
It had been about 15 years since we were last here although it must have been at the old location. I heard there was a fire or something. Expected it to be a BYOB but alas they now have a license. The food and service was pretty good. Authentic for sure. Nice atmosphere and Blanca was attentive. But not my favorite in the city. Great neighborhood and a good, well priced meal.
Neat and colorful restaurant! Authentic foods brought hot to the table and delicious!! There was live music, and our friendly waitress (Blanca) was very attentive and took care of us from beginning to end. Our food came out quick and in HUGE portions. Free chips and salsa, a sample "appetizer" that was the special of the day (which is what I ended up ordering), and complimentary arroz con leche for dessert! Definitely will be revisiting again soon!!
Great place to eat and fantastic environment. The owners will always greet you personally and make you feel at home. Love this place
For the people from Little Village this place is on institution, being run by second, third and fourth generation family members. This place is by far the best Mexican Restaurant in Chicago. It doesn't matter where you come from, or what background, once you taste their cuisine, you get hooked. I have been coming here since I was a kid and I can honestly say that I've never had a bad meal here. The staff is very attentive and on top of everything, plus you always have the owners making sure that you're satisfied with your food. If for some odd reason you're not happy with the food that you ordered, they are always more than happy to remake it, or assist you with the menu so you can pick something else. Bottom line is, if you're in Chicago's Little Village neighborhood, Nuevo Leon Restaurant is a must for anyone craving real authentic Northern Mexican food.
I went to the restaurant with my son and his family, and father to celebrate their birthdays. The food was awesome alot more roomy, never been there but the service was good. I would recommend this restaurant, the employees sang to customers for their birthday but my son didnt want them to know it was their birthdays 😔, but we had fun. We had our grand daughter with us,and everyone loved her. 💋❤🌈
Beef enchiladas were dry, had to ask for tortillas, waitress never checked on me.
This is a cool place when ur on Market St area. Bring ur friends or date, play board games or arcades, drink and eat some. Or to kill time as u pass by. Cant wait to go again.. lets play!!!
My hubby and i had so much fun. We have not been out since the quarantine. They gave us the best experience. Food was great and drinks were strong.
Good food, good price and service
Disappointing! Was looking forward to s trip, out to the Pilsen neighborhood fro authentic Mexican food. Decided on. Nuevo Leon based on the reviews. To start, the service was mediocre at best. Waited a good 5 minutes for chips after we received our guacamole order. We went on a Saturday night at 4:40pm with a group of 6 that we were hoping to have a great meal and good conversation. Well, that didn't last after 15 minutes as the "entertainment"started which was an EXTREMELY loud karaoke singer and he was terrible. We couldn't even hear each other without shouting. Never again would I go there. To top it off, the food was just very ordinary, nothing at all to get excited about. So sorry we passed up several other options in favor of this totally overrated restaurant.
Bot good at all bad service
Me and my fam took a trip to Chicago last week and as soon as we dine in we felt ourselves at home. The guy is very gentle and also the workers there and the food is bomb one of the best restaurants that I’ve ate
My favorite restaurant in the San Francisco area. The wait is long but very much worth it. I love getting an order of their dry fried wings my absolute favorite! The service is great as well. Can't wait to go back soon!
Amazing service with food that always improves in taste the more time I visit (and their Menudo ESTÁ BUENISSIMO!!!)
One of the healthily & cleanest restaurant I enter in the area... well deserved with delicious food you can try the owner as well as staff are super friendly with great manners, love this place & thank you jack.
The enchilada suiza was beyond expectations. The staff was friendly and accommodating. A+
Awesome Mexican Restaraunt in little village. It gets very busy, and the staff was very nice. I really liked how they give you five different salsas and a taco and a small desert all for free. That made it really enjoyable because I like trying different salsas. I will definitely be going back next time I am in little village, if you are from out of town don't not go because you heard the neighborhood is bad. I know it can be at certain times but especially during the day everyone is very friendly. And a lot of cool shops to visit all along 26th street
My favorite restaurant!! Excellent food
Some of the best authentic Mexican I have ever had. The meal also includes a lot of extras, including dessert.
One of our favorites! Huevos rancheros & little bit of everything! Love the mixed salsas!
Came in from Michigan to eat here with a group of 6 for lunch on a Friday. The owner was there and took the time to greet our table and offer so many samples of their food. I don’t know if that’s customary at this restaurant but it really felt like I was at my Tia’s house having a good meal with family. Great service, great staff. I had the enchiladas suzias which were top notch. I would recommend anyone come here.
It was my first time here, the food was really good. The service was also really good. For the amount of people that we were and the amount of food we ordered I have to say. The good was brought out pretty quickly. It was all in all a very enjoyable and positive experience.
Love the home made flour tortillas.. 🤩
The best food and service!
The Carne Asada (skirt steak) was good and cooked well. The service was excellent, even having a party over 20 people. 4 varieties of salsas for the chips they give you when you sit down. One downfall is no refills on most drinks (I think all drinks except coffee). Parking is hard because it is Chicago. That's to be expected. Atmosphere is good and relaxed with many decorations and paintings throughout the restaurant. Pricing is probably above average from the other places I've been to, but still not bad. Would recommend this place to try authentic Mexican food. Keep up the good work Nuevo Leon.
Have visited this place a couple of times and both times the servers have been very friendly and attentive. The food is good and the dessert is awesome. We've tried different crepes and they are good. Will go back.
The food was good but the customer service afterwards was horrible. I guess me and my company was the wrong color. I will not return.
Ordered a small beef soup to go. Man, it had two healthy pieces of tender beef with amazing vegetables😊that was flavorful and filling🤗. Nachos were amazing, could eat them by the dozens.
Good was so delicious n service excellent
Excellent service, tips must be made in CASH, but you can pay the bill with debit or credit cards. Dessert which is fresh strawberries with cream is on the house, beer is expensive about 6$ for a Mexican beer. One ticket per table, THEY DO NOT SPLIT THE BILL.
The simplicity of classic recipes is great. It was like eating at grandmas house as a child. Great flavors great variety of salsas to eat.
The customer service is outstanding!!!!! The food is great!!!! Laura and the staff are great! We drive an hour to come eat their tacos and molé enchiladas!!!
Loved it! Was a big surprise in the quality and service. All employees were extremely curteous and freindly. We unexpectedly received a free appetizer which was delicious. The salsas that came with the free tortilla chips were also good in their own way and the fajitas I ordered were cooked just right with the right amount of seasoning, everything was flavorful and authentic. We even recieved a free dessert at the end, it's the small touches like this that will keep me coming back every time I'm in town.
Amazing food and great customer service
Very good authentic mexican dishes! Love their food, drinks and all.
The service was excellent. The food was good.
I know this area (Glendale) has a ton of good Mediterranean places to eat but this is one of the best! Everything they make is superb. The grilled chicken, rice, hummus and pita bread I ate were all fantastic. I give them a 10/10! I will be back for more.
True authentic Mexican food. Great service and awesome little appetizers in the middle of the little village. Give it a try if you want authentic food. Bring cash for your tip. They raised their prices significantly and they charge 6 dollars per beer. Its costly. I wish I could give them 5 stars but they seem to be gouging on prices.
This is a neighborhood gem. The kitchen is fast and the food is good. Portions generous for food and drinks. Staff is quick, professional, and nice. The interior is also painted beautifully. I'd consider making a trip to the neighborhood just to go here.
